Aborted Alligator Attack : I am putting this one photo up as a warning to everyone. I have been taking this gators pic for a year. I was photographing him early one morning,(a mistake on my part), when he suddenly decided to attack my dog or me at the shoreline. I kept thinking he was going to stop but he did not. I was on my property and as always carry protection. At the last moment I defended myself and my pet. I am putting this one pic up for now as a warning. I made a huge mistake. I got too comfortable with him and he with me. I went around the water during the early a.m. hour. Another mistake. He was so quick! I have never seen anything like this before. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE. STAY AWAY FROM THE WATERS EDGE DURING THE MORNING AND LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. THESE ANIMALS ARE PREDATORS. DO NOT TRY TO INSPECT ANY ALLIGATOR DENS LIKE I HAVE BEEN DOING. It almost cost me a heavy price.
